We had mice in the kitchen and basement when we moved in our house years ago. By next winter, with my kitties living in the house, we never saw another mouse or dropping. You have a really nasty mouse problem though. I bought a cover when my camper was brand new and never even took it out of the box. My old pop up had damage from covering it with a tarp for the first time. The roof seemed a little soft around the air conditioner, and suddenly I had a ant infestation in one bunk by spring. I thought I would keep it clean to sell. I never covered it in 10 years, and never a problem.

Thanks for all the input. I got a mouse in one of my 6 traps last night!! Very happy. Peppermint cotton balls in all the vents. Radio playing to make noise. Ultrasonic noise maker plugged in. It's a full court press! Eviction notice has been delivered!

The method we've had the most success with so far is plugging all the holes where they can get in. For most of the trailer that means pieces of brass scouring pad and Pestblock expanding foam. For the outside stuff over winter (fridge, furnace, shower, water heater) we either stuff or cover with plastic garbage bags.

Sorry to dig this up but wanted to verify something. This is the hole around my WH. I stuffed stainless steel scrubbers in there. Am I now to use the pest foam? I shouldn't worry about it encasing the pipes and wires and such??? Thanks!Click image for larger version

Looks like you got it stuffed pretty good.
No, I would not encase the wires and tubing.

I had dryer sheets everywhere in my motor home this past winter. Yeah, you guessed it.... signs of the little rodent right next to a dryer sheet! Plus one had the audacity to take the d-con pellets and RELOCATE them - from by the water heater to in the bathroom! I've checked the heater ducts, wire and water hose runs - no go. Plus, I have no idea where they/it may have come in.
I've got a couple more weeks to look for it/them before our next outing.

Sounds as if they're super mutated mice, good luck with those critters!

I usually get a mouse or two every winter. Last fall I installed a MouseBlocker. No sign of mice all winter!

Consider good old fashioned mouse traps. Use them in quantity, they are cheap ... "The first mouse doesn't get the cheese, but the second one does."

The fridge vent screens are a "darned" good idea ... when we dis-assembled previous TC, found years and years of accumulated insects that attempted to winter inside the fridge space, and failed. So screens went on new TT way quick.
