If it's particularly warm to the point my AC has difficulty keeping up, I will close off as many different sections in the camper as possible, I will open the main AC vent and everyone will congregate in the room where the AC is located. Luckily, my camper is divided into 4 separate rooms. Master bedroom, bunkhouse, bathroom and the main living area where the AC is located.

This, I do this as well. When its in the mid 90s I put the unit on Dump and close the doors. I still have some air coming out of the overhead vents in the rooms which keeps them from becoming ovens, and Our camper has a larger than normal gap at the top and bottom of the doors for increased air circulation.
I usually put it back into the ducts in the evening when it cools down and we will be going to bed later.

Like TIm, I also have a Large Bunk room, a bedroom, and bathroom. Our Living area is kinda large as well with two slides of its own. Even with 9 people in the camper at the beach I didnt have any issues.

You will find that when it is in the overhead ducts, it will just run and run when it gets hotter out.. Putting it on Dump just puts a mass of cold air into the main living area.

Those are called 'quick dump' or quick cool' vents and when open will put more cool air in the same area. Closed will force more cool air into the rest of the camper. When initially cooling the camper down I would keep the vents open to cool the main area and close doors to bedroom, bathroom.

Probably should have mentioned I had a hybrid Roo 233s, so it's basically all one big room with bunk ends and a slide out. Sounds like though if I want to cool down the area right underneath the AC unit, open up those slides and that'll dump cold air right through those into the main area, but Rob airflow into the Ducks going to the smaller circular vents spread out throughout the camper. So I guess for daytime when nobody's really in the bunks, better to keep it open, and then at night time when everybody's spread out in the Bunks, close them so the max air flow goes into the Ducks and not into the main area right under the AC unit

You've described exactly what I do for the most part. I've a 2016 23ikss. We also carry our Golden Doodle with us a lot, and he is excellent in the camper alone. But he tends to enjoy laying under the main vents so I leave them open for him of we are gone for a while.
