Entertainment Help 2011 Shamrock 183

Hey gang,

I bought a new to us 2011 Shamrock 183 and the entertainment system above the sink was taken out by the previous owner. All the wiring is there.

I've now installed a car stereo that has DVD and the works. I've rewired the speakers, outsite and inside as they were a mess. Lucky I was able to use the old wires to pull the new. With that said I've got the music/stereo portion all done.

Now onto adding a TV. I've got an old flat screen TV and bought a decent wall mount. I've been searching for the coax cable for the antenna but just can't seem to find it. I see a signal boost button down near the front bunk.

Anyone know where the coax outputs are for the this model? I know it has an antenna as I have the crank. Tracing the wiring isn't going well.

Second question - We want to install the new TV on the pantry facing the dinette table. Installing the wall mount isn't an issue as I'll brace it with a piece of steel or wood. There's 110v wiring under the seat of the dinette I can tap into and run another plug up near the TV. Might even use a plug/USB combo outlet. However how do I get the RCA's from the stereo on the other side of the camper to the TV? Only thing I can think of is a wiring channel mounted to the roof.

Thanks,

Joe

I'm assuming what you're calling the boost button is a Winegard Wall Plate amp like the one in the front in this pic:

(Note that the amp is really in the antenna; the plate just turns it's power on and off.)

There should be coax from the wing antenna on the roof to the back of this plate. There is also a coax from your outside satellite input (if you have one) to the back of the plate. There is also a coax from your outside cable input to the back of the plate.

You connect another coax from the front of the plate to your TV.

I've attached instructions for the plate below.

Is the Winegard Wall Plate the only locations for the coax in the trailer? I found it on the front panel right by the door. I'm hoping to located a TV to over the dinette area.

Worse case scenario I can buy a digital antenna and hid it in an upper cabinet where I want to locate the TV. But this doesn't resolve my DVD player being on the other side of the trailer.

Still thinking my only option is the ceiling tracks.

All rigs layouts seem to be different, so I can't really answer your question.

I'm a little confused about where you want to mount the TV. I looked at pics of 2011 183's & there is a shelf on the right side of the door over the stove. That is usually a place for a TV & in my 2011 233S I have the same shelf & all of the coax connections are right there. The exception might be that they put a cupboard in place of the shelf. Please clarify where you want to mount the TV & I may have some wiring suggestions if you want to put the TV on the left side of the RV instead of the right (looking forward).

Also in my 233S with the 3 beds they put a TV shelf on the side of the fridge cabinet by that side bed & there is a coax connection on that same side of the fridge cabinet as well as power outlet.

My Shamrock 233 is a 2007. I have a pantry across from the sink, next to the dinette. I want to install the TV on a wall mount facing the dinette and the front bunk.

As you can see above the only place I have and "Entertainment Center" is right by the door. I honestly don't see us using cable, satellite. But I know the kids will want to watch movies before bed.

I think I'm going to have to just run RCA's from the radio across the roof in a ceiling channel to the TV.
