Fan vent open or close while stored ?

We are getting ready to head back home and I was wondering if a fan vent needs to be left open for air flow while the camper is stored. I live in Houston TX where is very humid. The camper is stored indoors. Not climate controlled.

I do. I wonder also if it's a good idea to have it open on the road so the windows don't suck in and break?

Is that Metal Bld. where it is Stored Vented? Would not pay to Open Your TT vents Unless that structure is also Vented! I leave our vents Open but our Bld.is Vented! Youroo!!

I don't think the gaps between the doors and the wall is enough to consider it a vented storage spot. Is not sealed either

I leave our bathroom vent open probably 7..8 months a year, but ours is stored outside. Also while traveling, unless heavy rain is forecast.

Leave my two vents open (2-3") all the time (driving/stored) except when camping and A/C is on. The open vents act just like the ridge vents in your home to relieve hot air, circulate what air it can, and reduce humidity build up. In your home, the soffits and ridge vents work together to do this. Not quite the same in an RV, but close. Been working effectively in my trailers for decades (FL, AL, GA, VA, and now TN). I use vent covers (Maxxair) which protect against elements except the very worse hurricane or tornado class storms.

If you have a covered vent then leave it open. Even when traveling if you get into some moisture it will be safe. Very easy to install, about a 30min job. This is what I have.https://www.amazon.com/Maxxair-00-93...rds=maxxair+ii

It says it's optional to make it more secure. I didn't know whether to do it or not. Didn't really want to open a whole tube of dicor for just 2 screws unless I needed to.

Stored outside in south Florida- ceiling vents left open about an inch or two. Also open as many doors, draws and cabinets as possible to prevent heat build up in a closed area. Open fridge and freezer doors

The last two Hybrids we owned plus the one we own now always had the vents opened 12 months a year .........and winters are rough in Maine

Same, and winters no joke in Massachusetts either....we get the Canadian blasts too. This is what maxxair coversion are for.
