Flag Holder for my Roo

I have been thinking about a good way to install a flag holder on my Roo. I looked at a lot of options on the market but wasn't sold on any. I came up with this simple, but sturdy design. Figured I'd share it since it got some attention from neighboring campers shortly after installing it this weekend (see photos below).

The holder mounts to the shaft of the power jack. I used 2" pipe straps (painted black), fixed to a face plate (piece of pine board painted black). To increase the grip and avoid scratching the finish on the power jack shaft, I used pieces of black rubber garage door seal on the insides of the pipe straps and as a spacer between the shaft and the face plate. I bolted an adjustable flag holder to the face plate. The adjustable holder allows for the proper angle to be set so the flag pole clears the front bunk. Costs about $25-30 and took about 30 minutes to install (after all the pieces were painted).

Nice job. I've been trying to do something like that also. Could be the answer.

I did pretty much the same thing on our previous rv, except I used a PVC type cutting board instead of wood. Worked great!
