Found water in shower

Hi! New owner here. Our RV has been parked in our driveway next to the house for 3 weeks. I went in today and there was a little bit of brownish water in the bottom of shower. There is a skylight above shower and a vent in bathroom that was open all the way but it has a cover. We had a couple days of heavy rain last week. Also, the shower nozzle was hanging down as opposed to up on the holder. Where do u think the water came from?

I would guess it came out of the shower nozzle hose but feel up all around the edges of the ceiling around the vent to see if you find any wetness.

Could it be winterizing antifreeze (Pink) that ran out of the shower head when is fell down. If shower not used since winterized it could be that.

Since it was brown and over the shower I would check the skylight. Take the trim ring down and check the wood/ceiling material for wetness/warping/discoloration.

Water in the bottom of the shower usually means that your gray tank is full.

If the rain hits the louvered side of my vent cover and the other cover is open I can get rain coming in. i would check the skylight also. On mine with large temperature swings like you get in the spring I was getting condensation on the outer dome and it was dripping down into the shower. I added some weather stripping to the inner dome and this helps allot.

Had the same thing happened to mine brown water in the tub. took the trim off on the skylight and saw that the Foam was discolored and damp. went up on the roof clean the caulking and put Eterna bond tape on it and ended the problem.

We found "brown water" spattered in the shower. Skylight dome was cracked and leaking. Replaced the outer dome with a new "smoked" dome.

You definitely have a crack or other issue with the shower dome.

Happened to us a couple times with our Flagstaff,,, it was around the Sky Light !!!
I hate Sky Lights,,, used to work on Manufactured homes,,, Sky Light are nothing but trouble !!! Make sure you check that roof at least once a year,,, twice would be better !!!

Roof leaks can be a bitch to find,,, like in a home the leak can be several feet away from where it shows up inside,,, I have seen where water can run several feet down a joice before it falls off !!! I have also seen where I though the SkyLight was leaking,,, and found it to be some thing else !!! Got to check it all,,, sometimes it is a very small opening !!! GOOD LUCK !!!

This thread title made me laugh when I first read it.

I was thinking to myself "You found water in your shower? No kidding? Isn't that like finding sand in the desert?"
