We thoroughly enjoyed our Memorial Day Weekend
As hard as it has been on our neighbors up north to have had such a long and cold winter, it has been strangely wonderful here. I cannot remember ever having such a comfortable MDW ~ weather wise. It was quite breezy, which is wonderful if you are camping ~ and the dew points were blissfully low. Still hot, but not the soupy ick we expect this time of the year
We had reservations at Sun n Fun in Sarasota FL and enjoyed riding bikes, walking, and visiting with friends ~ went to the pool once ~ toooooo many people. They also had live entertainment, movies at night, etc so a good time was had by all (especially our neighbors who, thankfully, passed out or were "shushed" around midnight) I so wanted to wake them up at 7 am but I did not
Attaching pix of our site as well as pix of Turtle Beach where we visited on Saturday. Traffic going over was, well holiday traffic going to an island, but once there the cg is south of the main drag so not too bad. There was a nice eatery across the street where we had lunch and then walked over to check out our space for an upcoming reservation. Nice to know the lay of the land, so to speak.
