Holding tank vent pipe?

My black tank doesn't drain very well, I don't believe there is a clog, but that the vent pipe isn't working properly. Do the Roo's have a vent pipe? I assume so, but where is it located?

Yes there is a vent pipe. Never seen a camper with a holding tank without one. It will stick through the roof. somewhere very near the black tank. That try to run them straight up through a trailer wall.

holding tank vent pipe

You will find yours on the roof. Have never heard of one clogging, but there is always a first time I guess. I had a problem with a sewer odor coming from the tank right after emptying. I installed on of those venturi caps. The have a wind vane which creates a "draft" effect, sucking the gases and foul air out of your tank into the atmosphere. Works very well, as the odor was gone. You can get this little gem at most rv parts stores.

I think you should be looking at solids buildup at the valve, rather than the vent. try RV-Digest-it from Unique and let it work at LEAST 24 hours and dump.

RV Digest-It

Worth every penny.
