We had this issue and was still under warranty so while in for service they moved the metal hook latch. That is the one that is on the ceiling part of the camper.

Are you talking about the newer Roto-Vise latches or the older cargo latch type?

This one, you can see the holes they put in it. I have since had to move it again!
Hope this helps.

I thought the OP is talking about the bunk door latches, not the shepherd's pole for the canvas.

Read post #3 in this thread below. I had to do it last season. Pay attention to the instructions on the limits on the amount of rotations. They mean it.

I caution anyone that wants their latches to PUSH HARD DOWN on the bunk door seals, that they may be creating more problems then they are attempting to solve.

When the bunk door closes the latch should hold the bunk end in place... and NOT PUSH down any harder on the door as this will weaken the latch and possibly compress the surround seals too much.

The correct amount of pressure is measured by using a dollar bill near or at the top seal and closing the bunk door with the latch closed. You should still just be able to pull on the bill and pull it out with some force applied but not enough to tear the bill. In other words, just tight enough to hold the bill and not let it slide out easily.

I have looked for where I read this advise but cannot find it to reference, but I can say that this advice has worked fine for me for 4 years now.

No
Older Roo/Shamrock hybrids had cargo door latches.
And even older ones had screw clamps.

I can hardly believe that you have had that much adjustment on your J-pole clamp.

I have three bunks and I have found that one J-pole is shorter than the other two poles... maybe you do not have the same length poles on your bunks and have mixed them up?

Also my 2014 model has J-poles that telescope in and out about 3-4 inches and are adjustable that much, so no need to move the ceiling mount clamp as you have pictured.
