It is a nice park, especially this time of year. Heading there at end of the month to chase walleye for a week.

Great Pics. Question about the bunk end covers. Do they really work well? Do they help keep condensation to am minimum? I've seen people put those insulating covers on their bunk ends, but How well do they really work and are they worth the money for short term camping weekends?

I would not camp without them .I have never had condensation on the bunk ends with them only a few times around base of the mattress .it really helps with temp control. And keeps the ends CLEAN ! I also use refletix type material in windows and under the covers a bit more work but I don't mind also no shadows at night and keeps it darker in the morning

Muddauber, if you did a quick search on them, on any hybrid forum, over 90% would highly recommend them. over the past 10 years i've been on all the hybrid forums, i've only seen a couple of so-so posts out of hundreds, about them. there are literally thousands of posts about them, on RV.net's Hybrid Forum.

not sure why, with all the glowing reviews and recommendations on this and other forums, that you would still be on the fence about them.

We won't be there until last two weekends in October, likely getting there on the 25th or 26th and staying the entire week. Depends on whether i feel like working any of those two weekend days. i may work the 25th and drive down that afternoon. Hope to meet you!

I really haven't been to other forums as this one is very worthy and I really just started hearing word about them recently. I haven't done any research on them so I thought I would start here.
After my recent Halloween campout where it was raining on us in the morning, I think looking further into these would be a good idea. Temperature has never really been much of an issue, at least I haven't noticed. Probably will once I give these a try!

"stealing" or "sterling?"

Sterling St Pk website doesn't say it has full hookups, but you appear to have a sewer connection.

Thanks! I'll try and stop by saturday, can't stay long though. I need to drive back up and bring the boat back with me. Weather looks decent for next week ( at least right now)

Jim

Yeah, it's one of the only 4 in Michigan with full hookups. (The others being Holland and two too far north for me to bother remembering the names of.)

I've been tempted to go because of the full hookups, but I also remember the place as being run-down and overcrowded when I used to camp there with my parents about 30 years ago. I know, I know, a lot changes in 30 years, but those past experiences have always left a small part of my psyche reluctant to go ahead and book.

Sorry Mark, got here later than I thought I would, did drive by your site on way back for my boat, didn't look like you were there ( around 5 pm). We are in site 217, maybe see you tomorrow, hope the wind dies down for fishing.
