Jon:
Just a thought: I got a straight clear fitting when I had my Roo 19 rather than the 45 degree one. You might want to take some measurements of sewer connection height before you go with the 45 degree one. I'm glad I went with the straight one, as my Mini Lite connection is even lower than the Roo. I was in a site this weekend where the CG sewer pipe was almost at the same height as my Mini Lites connection. A 45 degree would not have worked (unless I put it on so it bent sideways instead of down).

Also, the straight one fits in my fence post stinky slinky holder; the 45 degree one would not.

You should be able to get a Group 31 wet cell for less money that will give you a 20 hour rating of at least 105 Ah but it won't be "maintenance free". I've used Deka's Marine Master DC31DT wet cell with decent results but I don't boondock. The VMax batteries on Amazon.com are supposed to be good, too. They claim 125 Ah but they're priced at $270.

Go New...

Just my $0.02. I was looking for a used 233S last year. Most of them weren't discounted by much. I ended up finding a dealer with several 2015's that they were trying to move, as the 2017's were coming out. I got a brand "new" 2015 with warranty and no issues and it was priced at or less than most of the 2013-2014's I was looking at.

During this winter I had some mice move in. They made a mess behind all of the areas that you can't see. I ended up taking out the refrigerator, all the panels that hide the wiring/plumbing, under the shower, all the vents, under the microwave and behind the radio...EVERYWHERE!

Once those critters get into the ceiling and floor they can literally go everywhere by following the channels for wiring.

Now - I could have easily cleaned up the obvious stuff and put it up for sale or traded it in and nobody would have known the difference. I learned a lot about what I would want to check if I was looking at a used RV (which I will likely never do).

I just feel like there are a lot of opportunities to hide the issues in an RV. You really have to know what you're looking for. It's probably not worth saving a couple thousand dollars.

I am trying to keep weight off the tongue of the camper so it is easier on my TV, and from what I have seen dragon-roo do, there is room for three group 31 agm batteries under the dinette. I can't do anything other then AGM or gel in that area w/o a vented battery box.

Sam's has the Duracell 105ah agm for $180, which is cheap. 2-3 of them should leave me w/o too much worry.

I can't speak to deep cycle batteries, but the battery in my Chevy Traverse is actually located behind/under the front passenger seat. It has a vent tube that plugs into the side of the battery and is routed outside the vehicle. If deep cycles have something like that, you should be able to vent them outside.

^ A vented battery box is a requirement for vented batteries inside a camper. I don't know how I feel about cutting a hole in the side of a brand new camper. I need to dig into the dinette area and see if there is as much room as dragon-roo has in his rig.

I'd run the vent out the bottom, through the floor.

Hydrogen is lighter then air, so that is a no go. Sealed box w/ vents always has a hole in the bottom and the vent exiting the top.

Use batteries with a plug-in vent hose. Otherwise, you'll have to cut a hole in the side.

I would ad the batteries on the tongue first just to see if you notice a difference, i would guess you never even know they are there when towing.
