Woke up Rooby from her easy winter nap and took her in this morning for a new set of tires. Finally replacing the original stock tires from 2010. Yep...I know this could start a tire war, but the original Karrier tires lasted seven seasons. Now, the Roo was garage kept until this past winter, so, that's a HUGE plus in tire longevity. Went with the Carlisle Radial HD. Now a load D instead of my old "C" tires and 65psi vs the old 50psi. Hoping these do well...looked into the new Goodyear tires, but a bit pricey and too new to have real reviews. Firm believer of keeping the pressure up to keep those sidewalls firm. Have done it for years on the camper and vehicles with great success. Also went with the metal stems for the TST system. Ready to roll for the season!
Good on you for doing it before you had a blow out. I almost had one this past summer.....If it wasn't for my evening walk around noticing one of the x-chocks not sitting properly, it could have been waaaayyyy worse.
