many here have Ecoboost F-150 trucks, though most have the Max Tow package and the HD Payload package.

I've got one! 2011 XLT SuperCrew 3.55 rear-end. It drags our 23ss around without any complaint.

Congrats, you'll love it.

I just got a 2012 FX4 with Ecoboost and max tow. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around where all the power comes from. It tows my 23 ss with absolute ease. I'm very happy with it. Congrats, you will love it.

Gas
One of my best friends has one, and tows his 9,500 lb GVWR fifth wheel with it. The truck pulls like a bear, but uses lots of gas to do it.
And he notices that if he gets into the turbos at all when driving without the camper, his mileage isn't very good. It only gets the advertised mileage when driving 50 mph.
Bottom line, power comes from fuel. There are ways to tweak it a bit, but you just can't fight the laws of thermodynamics!

I suppose so. I don't get in it much so my mileage has been great without the camper. Much better than my Silverado. I always thought the power came from the turbos and direct fuel injection. But I am no mechanic by any stretch.

We have a 2011 F-150 EcoBoost. We've been pulling our 33' TT with it for almost 2 yrs. We are very pleased with it! Getting about 16 to 18 mpg around town. When towing, it goes down to about 11 mpg.

I've got one too with a 3.73. Did a great job pulling my Roo 21SS last Saturday when I picked it up. Couldn't tell it was even there other than the instant MPG was being dragged way down. lol

Me too. 18 town. 21 highway. 11 towing. But the torque is the big thing.
