New/Used 23WS

Hi all!
The wife and I just moved up from our popup to a barely used 2017 23WS and are so far absolutely loving it! I have to thank you all because although you didn't know it, I have been lurking and searching these forums for modification ideas and you have not disappointed!! We've already purchased PUGS and put velcro above both bunkends for easy install (actually, we just leave them attached now). We just added reflectix last night as well. I have installed an awning light dimmer, hung cloth shelving from the closet rod in the wardrobe, added a mattress topper and added X-Chocks. Also just bought an EMS PT30X surge protector. All of this just from these forums!
Didn't find this one in the forums but I added a FW drain extension so that I didn't have to crawl under the camper to drain the FW tank (a real pain).
There are many more items I want to add/change but will have to wait until the next time out as it is back in storage until the next trip (hopefully in about a month).

Just wanted to finally log in and say "thanks!" to all of you for the great ideas! Can't wait to get back out and try all this stuff out!

Mark

Congrats on the new camper!
Hope many happy trips are ahead for you.

Any chance you have photos of your FW tank drain mod?

you have good taste in campers LOL. We are in our second season with our 23WS, we have towed it over 9,000 miles and we are very happy with it.
You are so right about the FW tank drain. It never fails, I get to the campground and start to put water into the FW tank and as soon as I see water dribbling from underneath the camper - that is when I remember that I was supposed to have closed that -----then crawling under there now that the road is wet to close the valve. May have to consider that mod.

Thanks for the replies! I'll get pics of the FW drain mod the next time we take it out of storage. Have a non-camping vacation scheduled in the next couple of weeks so it will be after that.

Thanks again, all!

You are correct... I did miss that one!! Kinda wish I hadn't seen it now as I'm gonna have to go and redo mine! That is a much nicer job that what I did. I simply ran a hose from the valve to the side of the camper and installed another valve. It's not going to win any prizes for craftsmanship or best design but it works!
