I’m looking at generators and I’m curious if this One would work I’m not going to run the a/c with it but would it run the microwave if needed

How big/how many watts does YOUR microwave use?

There are many different wattages of microwaves so we can't say if it will or won't.

Generator use/size is all about watts needed to run whatever appliances/devices you turn on.

hard to say. what is the wattage of the microwave. they are on 15 amp circuits so the most they would draw is 1800 watts (120 volts times 15 amps). that is the max running watts from the generator you show. the less wattage your microwave requires the better this generator would be. but you may not be able to run any other 120 volt device including the converter recharging the batteries. a tv or a fan might put you over the limit.

does this generator support paralleling with a second generator? if so, you might buy it and see how it works knowing that if you need more power you could always buy a second one and parallel it.

Ok I’ll have to look into to what the wattage is the dealer told me that a 2000 peak watt would be enough for everything but the a/c so I’m just trying to do my research and get opinions from others since this is my first trailer thanks guys

Since you have a Roo hybrid, that generator should run everything except the a/c.
Personally I would get a Champion over that generator.

I was looking at the champions just now and I’m thinking your right I think the dual fuel option is pretty sweet

Pretty sure that the product support for the Westinghouse is not good. Champion's is excellent.
Both brands are made in China but Champion is US based.
Their 2500 dual-fuel inverter generator is on Amazon's Black Friday sale for $506 and it only weighs 39lbs.

Other day at campers world, as i buying a 5th wheel. w/no gen. was looking at the generators. asked about what would run my ac's.
They had a 3500 that guy said would run one of my AC's. it was like $699. So for little bit more money and more watts. Check it out.

I have the gas only version of this Champion. What a nice generator. It will run my 15,000 BTU AC with a soft start installed. It will run my 1,000W microwave that actually draws 1,350 watts from the generator. Unfortunately, it will not run my AC and residential fridge at the same time. The startup draw from the fridge compressor is too much to handle with the AC running.

For the OP, I would not hesitate to get the 2500W Champion. It will run any microwave. And it may run your AC. If it doesn't, it likely will if you add a soft start.

nice to have the extra watts, but the weight goes from like around 50# for 2,000 watts to a 100# for the 3500 watts... which is the downside of having more watts...

The wattage in the micro wave is 1650 but then it also says 800 but I think the champion will still work

I bought the Igen 2500/2200 from Lowes. Mostly because it was on sale and with my Veterans discount it was REAL CHEAP! Order Total $387.83

We don't boondock a lot. But we have used it about 4 times at Harvest Host locations. Works fine. Runs 15K AC. No softstart required. Bought the extended warranty. Just in case LOL

I do like Champion for their warranty and customer service.

My Honda EU3000is genset will not only run my camper on those weekends we end up without electric but will run half of my home * during those winter power outages. Not simply "one of Chuck's stupid camping expenses" but justifiable to the CFO. I think 3 or 4 days has been the max.

I also have a honda 3000i handi, not an "is" model. Yes, pricy and does all you say. I had a Gen-tran manual transfer switch installed with 6 circuits. Runs something I every room of house. Very easy on fuel and noise. When power has failed, and it has enough to make it worthwhile, it takes about 30 seconds to be up and operational.

Wow prices are nuts. Picked up a 3500 watt early this summer for $329.
