Power issue

I posted a bit about this previously. But still dealing with issues. I’ve called the dealership. Trying to get it in for service but I can’t find anywhere that can get it in before the 29th.
2016 Roo. I have 2 Brand new 6v golf batteries. Checked multiple times that they are fully charged.

If I’m plugged in. I have full power to the unit. If I am not plugged in. I have nothing.
I had a friend who used my jumper cables to “cross the leads on the breaker” (his verbiage) and I got power. But can’t live with my jumper cables hanging out under the camper for the rest of my life. The circuit breaker reset was popped out and I reset that.
I replaced the 30amp fuse. But it tested fine when I pulled it out.

I’ve researched as much as I can. And searched this site and can’t find anything else to fix this. There is power from the battery. And power past the circuit.

Thoughts?

What fuse did you check exactly? The photo looks like the junction box for the 7pin.

It sounds like you popped a breaker and maybe blew the reverse polarity fuses on the converter. Have you checked those?

I am also curious how you wired these new batteries. For 2 6v they should be serial to get you to 12v.

Or tripped the 12v resettable circuit breaker along the A-frame.

The fuse I think OP is talking about is the 30 amp off of the 7 way pigtail. I popped mine and didn’t know I wasn’t getting power from TV. Installed resetting CB and problem solved for my issue.

I do agree with the last two posts

I assume these 6v batteries are wired in series so they become a 12v battery -- 6v ain't gonna do it.

1. If you just installed these batteries it's possible they're backwards. Confirm the battery is wired correctly. Ground (negative) wire goes to the trailer frame. A common mistake. Should be a reminder sticker there but it's very simple to find what wire goes to the frame.

2. Find and reset the circuit breaker on the trailer tongue by tracing the wires from the battery back. Little button on top.

3. Replace the blown reverse current fuses in the power center. Should be a pair of 40a (50a?) fuses dead center in the panel.

More pictirws

Sorry I thought I included these both in my initial post. I reset the button on the CB yesterday before I posted this. And here is a pic of how the battery’s wired up.

looks like you have the two 6v batteries wired correctly, in series, but when changing batteries, yes, it's quite likely a fuse breaker tripped(there may actually be two 'buttons' to push to reset this), such as the one you show, or the main 'reverse polarity' fuse(s) in the RV's fuse panel broke.

Check, with a Voltmeter, that you are indeed getting 12volts from the batteries - then check the fuse breaker on the hitch, then the fuse panel inside. I had a similar issue, and come to find out it was a bad cell within my battery, which, when a load is applied, fails to the point that the 12v system doesn't receive the appropriate power, and everything is lost.

If you jumpered the breaker in the picture and it worked then either the breaker is bad or you didn't press the reset hard enough or a bad connection. I would replace it. Disconnect the negative battery cable before replacing it.

I agree.
Likely a bad breaker if it won't reset... AND... that is the circuit breaker your friend jumped with the jumper cables to make everything work?

You also mentioned you had 'full power to the unit' when plugged in. If 'full power to the unit' means 12v, then that would mean the protection fuses at the converter are OK.

Replace the resettable breaker. They are inexpensive and you can get them at any auto parts store.
