Problems with Slide out on 233s

Help! Slide out works fine when plugged into shore power but will not work off battery. Battery is reading at 12 volts or more when tested. We even totally disconnected the battery and slide out still works with just shore power.

When unplugged from shore power, does the other 12v stuff, like the lights and overhead fans work? If so, you may have blown the Slideout fuse.
How did you determine the the battery reads 12v? If you're using the panel idiot lights, they are not accurate. You need to use a multimeter or hydrometer. And NOT while plugged into shore power.

Sounds like a dead battery.

Does it work when plugged into the tow vehicle? If so, agree with low/dead battery assessment.

Make sure your battery disconnect under the fridge isn’t On.

Had this same problem on my 233S, battery was weak. Bet your awning works but is very slow. Replace your battery.

If you test the battery while hooked to shore power you are seeing the power that is coming from the converter to charge the battery, not what voltage the battery has. If the battery has been allowed to discharge too low then it is probably dead, which explains the slide not working. The slide motor for the 233S is a power hog as it has a large slide to move and mine only has the one rail guide underneath.
