RecPro Recliner in a 23SS

I have a 2006 23SS. It has the scissor couch - which is pretty much useless except as a junk collector - it is only about 5' long so is can't be used as a bed expect for children, and it's not comfortable to sit on for long.

Unfortunately, the slide doesn't go all of the way to the floor, and the square drive bar is in front of the stationary portion of the wall below the slide.

I am thinking that the RecPro Euro recliner (see: [URL="https://www.recpro.com/recpro-charles-28-rv-euro-chair-recliner-modern-rv-furniture-design/"] will work with the drive bar fitting between the seat and floor ring (you need to see a picture).

I may have to reconfigure the drive bar mechanism a bit to move the bar bracket, but this seems doable.

Anyone have any ideas or "you-can't-do-that-because's". Love to hear any thoughts.

Having owned a 2007 23SS, I don't see a way to move the slide motor/drive system, to make room for the Rec Pro.

I wouldn't need to move the motor for the slide. The square drive bar leads from the motor (under the kitchen) to a mount (under the couch) - which is a kind of a drive guide - that provides a support for the drive bar.

I think I can move the mount closer to the middle of the couch and rearrange the drive bar components to compensate.

The effect would be that the distance between the motor and the mount will be increased. That would increase the effective torque on the drive bar, but I don't think it will be a significant problem - the drive bar seems appears that it could handle the increase in torque.

This will mean only the drive bar will be in the way of each chair. The drive bar should fit between the base ring and the seat of the chair .... I think. Only a minor problem would exist as the drive bar would be exposed, but since this is only an issue when moving the slide - and otherwise it would be under the chairs, I think its manageable.

I have just been daydreaming the issue and would love to hear any feedback.
