Has anyone had problems with the TV sound shutting off after about 10 or 15 minutes. Our camper is brand new and has never been out yet.
Ours works fine then the sound shuts off, but everything is on. When you cycle through the mode button settings it comes back on, only for 10-15 minutes again. Any Idea?s

Suggest you post manufacturer and model number (of the tv).

There might be a sleep timer on the stereo, on the face or on the remote a button that says "sleep". When it's on and playing and that button gets pressed it will start timer (maybe 15 mins) until it shuts off. If you push it multiple times it adds to the number before shutting off. Maybe that button is stuck in if you aren't pressing it.

My TV "as delivered" played through it's own speakers. If yours is doing that, too, your problem is not in the iRV stereo unit. If it is playing through the stereo, Hersbird probably has the answer.

(Sorry, I missed the "iRV" in your title in my last post, although you didn't specify model number.)

I've attached two iRV manuals; they both refer to sleep timers.

Yes. Had the iRV33 system in my 23IKSS a d it would shut off after few minutes. Was not a result of any sleep timer etc. What I discovered after internet search was the system had tendency to overheat and there is an overheat protection circuit that will shut the system down. After a couple hours, it would be OK except the cycle just repeated. I never found fix or had desire to change the unit out. Just stopped using it.

Take the thing out, toss it in the trash, and go get a car DVD system.

We experienced this last summer too. The sound would go off and the text would display at the bottom of the screen as if someone muted it. We would shut it off and later turn it on and all would work.

So the overheat theory makes sense. Glad I read this thread for some ideas on how to fix it.

Thanks!
Ron
