Roo 233 Door Weight

Hey guys. I am just getting ready to do my "Field Kit" and replace the seals and hinge on the door. Any guess or idea how much that door weighs? I am wondering if this is something I can do by myself or is it a 2 or 3 man job. Thanks

I have never took one off but just feeling them on other's units, they do feel solid. You will definately need another strong person for the other side. I do not think three would be necessary but what the heck.

You may be able to build some type of high saw horse type things to place it on once you disconnect the cables. Then you cna open it up, lay it on the horses and begin taking the hinge off. Then just slide it away from the unit and do your repairs. Then just reverse.

That is what I am thinking. I am wondering if I can back my truck up enough to hold that top part up while taking that hinge off.

Will it fit in the bed? You would not it just resting on the tailgate. If you unscrew the hinge it could fall off.
