ROO 233S winter cover
I know this isn't the time to be thinking about this but here in Wisconsin we are only a couple months away. I am looking for opinions for covering my 233S. Do you cover yours or not? If you do what do you use? Here in WI we get temps to -20 and around 3'+ of snow throughout the winter I wish I could move south and use it all year round. DW and I talked about storing it somewhere but we just don't want to spend that money right now. I am looking to see if I cover it or not. If so what is a good cover that will last a couple years. Thanks

I covered my Roo 19 here in northern Illinois for 3 years, mainly because I thought it would help prevent leakage into the bunks. The cover only lasted the 3 years we had it; we never had any leakage issues anyway. I had bought the cover before I knew of the PVC mod to put over the the top of the bunks (which I never did).
On my Mini Lite, I covered it for 3 years before the cover crapped out. This year I didn't cover it. If you look around, MOST people do NOT cover their RV's.
BTW: My brother-in-law lives in Sussex, has an SOB (some other brand) hybrid, and doesn't cover it.
I think it comes down to what makes you comfortable.

I haven't covered ours in Montana the last 2 winters. The snow makes a good cover, the inside isn't kept heated so there is only a few meltoffs all winter. I'd say a camper down south is exposed to worse conditions all winter, wet, dry, wet, dry, hot, cold, etc. Ours freezes up, gets covered in snow, and waits 2 months for spring, nice and dry.

what ever you decide do not use a tarp. very bad. Does not breath and traps moisture.

We covered our PUP last winter because the previous owner gave the cover to us. Didn't help anything and was a pain to get on/off, especially if we wanted to access part of it when it had snow on it...that melted...weeped through the fabric...and then caused the cover to freeze to the roof.
@rockfordroo, thanks for the tip on the PVC mod. I think I'll be doing that this winter, maybe. Here's why...
We have no leaks whatsoever when it rains, whether the ends are closed up or the bunks are out. Super happy about this. However, we have a problem in the winter. I think the issue is that rain/snow get between the door and outer wall along the top (where the top seal is), it melts, then freezes...expanding...and causing a slight gap in the seal. When it melts, some water (maybe 1/2 cup) gets inside on the canvas. This only happens with the rear bunk, the front is fine. The seal for the rear bunk also has a slight dip towards the left side that may work like a little bowl to allow water to collect there.
This summer we had lots of rain; Rain when all closed up, rain when towing, rain when camping...no leaks.
The PVC mod looks like it would solve my winter problem, my concern is if that ends up trapping water someplace else and causes a different problem when it freezes.
I'll have to see what other solutions I can find to keep water out of that area during winter.

Someone used some flashing, attached above the door with double sided tape. Search for a thread.

The garage was a little less than the camper was new in ‘14.. It is 30’ x 22’ and 14’ sidewalls, 12’ tall door. My boat fits beside the camper. I paid for commercial inside storage for the first 3 winters.

There are a number of other threads on the subject. Put "roo pvc door" into the search field at the top of the page. Some people have used garden hose.

I am on my second ADCO cover from camping world to cover my 233s. Works well here in Ohio and I feel safer from the damage winter can cause on a trailer. Id rather have a garage for mine like some of you
