Roo Hybrid Bunk End Canvas Care & Maintenance
I was looking thru my paper work for my 2013 Roo 233s (mfg date 10/2012) and found these. Have read a lot on here about leaky canvas, "seasoning", and care. Posting this as here is what the mfg has to say about the matter. For those of us who bought new I'm sure these look familiar.

I found the same thing in our 2015 Roo we picked up last week. While doing the PDI I asked about seasoning the tents and was told they had never heard that and it wasn't necessary. I thought about calling them and letting them know about the tags from the Manufacture.

Just picked up our 2015 Roo 21SS. How do you "season" the tent ends?
Thanks, Jim

Seasoning tent ends
Congrats on your new ROO. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do ours. As for seasoning the tents, we opened them and used the garden hoed to spray both end till they we completely wet. Let them dry then we did it a second time. I don't know that it needs the second one but I wanted to be sure the seams had been soaked so the threads would swell. It must have worked because we haven't had any leaking. Good luck.

These dealers are idiots and have no business selling hybrids OR popups.
Seasoning popups' canvas has been around for at least 25 years, way before hybrids came on the scene in 1998.

Because they are dealers just like a car dealer they make money when they sell it but don't care once you leave the lot, maybe 10% of dealers do care, but about 5% really know there products, if I ever have a question I contact the MFG.

I don't think we ever seasoned our bunk ends but never had a problem with leaks. We have had some very rainy summers and have used our hybrid for 5 summers. We did purchase Pop Up Gizmos last spring. They are easy to put on & help keep the ends clean.

We heard about this with our first pop-up but I don't remember if the dealer told us or if we saw it on a forum. It makes sense, though. We remember from tent camping that you always have to do something.

I will have a new Roo soon, but I had a Popup, and the 2003 actually is vinyl coated canvas and indestructible. I'm a little nervous about vinyl tent ends, but happy about the permanently attached canvas. It will be a great time saver, with setup, and take down.

Pop-up gizmos
Purchasing the pop up gizmos to cover the bunk ends is the best money ever spent! Reflects the sun when it's hot out and flip them over to absorb heat of the sun when it's cooler. Keeps the canvas clean from tree debris, especially the kind that stains. Easy to put on and take off. Folds small to store. I have a Roo 183 now and can't believe I never bought the gizmos when I had my pop up (for 9 years too!)

Which PUGs do you order for a 23IKSS Roo generally camp 30-40 degrees Spring and Fall and Summer 60-100? I am not in a high wind area so not sure if I need those

Wicked if you just email Popup gizmos and tell them you have the 23ikss they will take it from there. That is what I did when I ordered...just dropped an email saying 21DK roo and they took it from there. No need to measure or anything, they know the sizes for all Roo hybrids.
