We purchased a 2008 Roo last fall and I am finally getting around to adding some of my own touches. Our last pop up had a storage compartment where we stored our outdoor carpet. We also had two pvc tubes that stored our hot dog sticks and our tent poles.
For this mod I picked up an aluminum 12 inch wide tool box off of Craigs list to store our carpet, axe and fishing poles. I had to move the propane tanks forward by about two inches to allow for the box to open. I then mounted the battery in the box. After I mounted the box to the A-frame I drilled and mounted 6 stainless steel eye bolts. I put the tubes on top of the box and then used bungee cords attached to the eye bolts. This allows me to take off the tubes when I arrive and lay them under the camper.
I hope you have some kind of vents in the box. Charging batteries can produce hydrogen. You don't want that buildiing up in the box.
Looks identical to the box I installed also... If it is it has mounting slots on the bottom of the short edge (built in venting ), it's actually for a pickup box. Works great for trailer storage also!
