I suppose I would question why you would do that and what year is the Roo

Yeah been doing that for about a month my kit just got here yesterday

A day or two in the hot sun, using a push broom as a squeegee BEFORE the contact cement is applied.

Our older trailer (DW's dowry) was had air staples every few inches on both sides covered by the rain gutters. I had to pry those out so I get get the membrane off.

My deconstruction of the assembly process is:

1. Guys on platforms on each side of the trailer.
2. Spread the contact cement from the middle to one end.
3. Put the membrane in the middle and pull it to one end.
4. Working directly opposite one another, the two guys pull the membrane taut side-to-side and put a staple in each side.
5. Continuing, the two guys pull the membrane side to side AND taut towards the end and put in the second set of staples, maybe 6" from the first.
6. This repeats until they get to the end.
7. Then they put staples across the end, under where the transition piece will be placed.
8. Then they repeat the entire process from the middle to the other end.

My experience. I'm replacing roof decking and some truss on the older trailer.

I live in Iowa so hot sun is not option but a heated shop is I decided to roll it up it will sit in heated shop hopefully I will start taking everything off next weekend

We needed a new roof on our Salem 29rlls, since Camping World wouldn't honor our warranty, we had the roofing company that put on a flat roof on our house do it. They used the same membrane on our camper, $3500.00. Much thicker than RV membrane and should last a lot longer.

Tip? Get someone who has done it before to help you.
Better tip? I replaced mine in October with FlexArmor...lifetime material. Tough stuff. Cost installed is comparable. It took them 2 days while I propped my feet up and slept.

Now THAT is the way to get projects DONE~!! Only improvement would have been feet propped up near a campfire with an Adult Beverage in hand!

I recommend the YouTube Channel "AZ Expert". This is a mobile tech who does a LOT of roof replacements - pretty horrific stuff, too. He's witty, but straight-up. Mostly, he does a lot of Winnebagos and MHs.

He also walks you through a lot of other repairs.

No I decided I am going to replace all of the wood on top I just ripped out a chunk. It is glued to styrofoam no staples I feel the surface will be uneven if I replace just the bad spots because part of the styrofoam is coming off with the decking

Ah. On the one I'm doing, the roof decking was nailed to the trusses. There is pink fiberglass insulation beneath. This difference may be because ours is a 22' unit with no air conditioning ducts; just dumps in the center.

The worst of the water intrusion was where the awning anchors span the gutters. That causes the gutters to clog and overflow. In turn the water follows the lag screws that hold the anchors on. A widely practiced bad design.
