RV step stabilizer

Why is it that many times I see a new product the looks like it will be great on my Roo that I get the product and then find that it won't fit? I saw the Lippert Step stablizer that attaches to the bottom step & has fold down legs to cut the bounce on the bottom step. Got it and then found out that it won't fit. I have 20" wide steps and it is made for 24" steps. I thought at one time that it would be nice to have the fold down steps, but I have a fence next door that would block using it. Has anyone replace their 20" steps with 24" steps?

There are step stabilizers other then the ones you are referring to. They work by placing them under the step and extending them to support the bottom step. I used this type for years before installing the product you are talking about. Why change your factory installed steps get the inexpensive portable step braces. JMHO

X2

I used a scissor jack under my steps for years.
There are other step stabilizers available as mentioned. A Google search will bring up many like this...Click image for larger version

FYI - the torklift Glow steps may not fit either - they did not on my 2016 Shamrock...

i use the #3 item in 5picker's post..... sometimes the step is too high and i have to add a leveling lego under the step stablizer to reach. it works really well and is a cheap fix.
