Welcome to the forum! No, but I highly recommend lots of water to make dumping easier, plus helps break down solids and any paper that you choose to use.

Any TP labelled 'Septic Safe' will work, some are even better than RV TP. However, most problems occur because of not enough water, too much TP or dumping before the tank is full.

We stopped using the over priced, under performing, 'RV tp' years ago. We just use whatever we use in the house. Usually Charmin Ultra 2ply. We just got back from two weeks boondocking and in the 2.5 hours of movement it took to get home and clean tanks, the tp must have broken up fine. I saw no chunks of tp going through the clear elbow at all.
Just use plenty of water, you'll be fine. These are holding tanks... Not septic.

Lots of good youtube videos on testing the breakdown of different toilet tissue. Anything labeled "RV" is generally overpriced for value.

I find the Dollar Tree has septic safe Scott brand tp. Can’t go wrong with the price.

Rv toilet paper
Anything that is septic safe. It breaks down where other TP probably doesn’t. And if you get that TP stuck on your sensors, your black tank will always read full. 🤣

Try to find "non septic safe" toilet paper. Really, I've never seen it.
"RV" label is just a way to charge stupid prices for ordinary stuff to naive people. Glad you asked here.
Lots of stuff, though, is not RV/Septic safe like "wipes."
