Slide out topper

I have a 2017 233s shamrock...was thinking about adding a slide out retractable topper or cover on my slide out...has anyone had this done?...is it a good idea? ...is it a easy install?,or should I have it installed?...and what’s the model number (if anyone did this) for the topper?

It's much cheaper to have installed from the factory.
I wouldn't have a RV slideout without one.

It's a two person job and much more expensive aftermarket.

There's only 3 different manufacturers to choose from, so you don't have many choices.
Factory topper is a Dometic.

I just did mine this past weekend. Less than $600 for both. 1 was 13’ long and the other 5’. As long as you have someone help you thread the fabric into the rail it’s super simple. Took me a total of 2 hours to do both.

It’s super simple. Measure the total outside of the slide, flange to flange. Add 6” and that’s the size you’ll need. The brand I got was Lippert. Free shipping included. Everything was included.

Did ours last year........easy but definitely a two men job.
Bought it from Shadepro......around $400.00.
They charge $100.00 if you have it ship at home, but FREE id shipped at work which is what I did.
On their site, they show you how to measure the topper so you get the right one.
