Spare Tire Cover Too Tall?

Is it just me? My spare tire cover seems just a little too tall when the bunk is down. I've slightly scraped the decal on the rear bunk from the bunk hitting the top of the hard-plastic cover . Anyone else have this issue? My Roo is a 21SS, 2013 model. Thanks!

You might want to take a look at how the spare is bolted to the spare tire carrier. See if it can be moved down. Worth a look.

Yea I've looked at all options that don't include modifying the carrier in some way. I think it's pretty weird that it hits. I'll look again today since the weather is beautiful here in New Mexico. Maybe come up with a modification. Thanks for the responses.

I had that issue with my 2013 Roo 23ss. My dealer swapped out the stationary spare tire holder for a tilt version while camping.

We had the same problem with our 23ss. The same dealer that Redstick used swapped ours for a tilt one.

Hey there Keven.

I only had mine swapped after Keven had his swapped out - he gets the credit!

Keven, I hope you are well. We haven't camped since last year - been way too busy.

Any word from WfdEric these days?

How's the revamped storage lot?

2 identical 21SSL's here. One mine, one my buddies. Ordered at same time. Mine clears the spare tire, his hits. I think it has to do with how they cut in the bunk opening, and how that wall fits on the camper. I know that my rear bunk sits level (no 'hump' at the hinge") and my front doesn't, but his front is level and his rear has a hump.

Go figure.

Redstick, everything is going well. We haven't camped since Thanksgiving spent 10 days at Cagle in New Waverly..

I haven't talked to WfdEric in a long time. Somebody just stored a 233ss at the storage lot figured it was his.

The revamped storage lot is nice now was a pain having to keep moving around the construction of it. All the covered are now black topped, have power and the roads soon will be black topped. I just moved ours to covered over the weekend.. You need to move over and join the other 4 Roos also.

Are there covered available - with electric? I may be interested in moving closer.

I bet that is his 233 as it is gone from where I store mine now.

Yes, he has 2 or 3 still left as of last Tuesday. If you come over don't look at mine it's really dirty. In the next couple of weeks I am going to shrub it.
