Speaker/sound system

Hello There!

We are the owners of a Shamrock 21SS. We love our little camper but.....

anyone have any mods on counter space we could see since there is none.

And we would love to have our TV come out of the speakers instead of just the back of the TV. Anyone have any suggestions? My DH is somewhat handy Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have the iRV unit? In my Roo, you can select an input on the iRV that corresponds to the TV audio output.

Look for RCA type cables coming off the back of the TV. If you have those they are probably going to inputs on the iRV (or whatever radio you have). You just have change to the correct input and you should be good.

Mine wasn't installed correctly either but it was the speaker wires that were incorrect. The TV audio actually worked. I think it's unfortunately a common occurrence that something isn't done correctly at the factory with regard to wiring.

my 2014 Shamrock had only one channel of the stereo pair hooked to all speakers in the camper so you only got one side... had to reqire the back of the stereo... I also found that an amplified computer speaker hooked to the back of the Furion TV gave better TV sound for my taste...

If you figure out how to make more counter space let me know. That is my biggest peev about our 21SS.

That's why we chose the 23SS over the 21SS.

The DW had kitchen counterspace as her #1 priority, which the 21SS didn't have.
Have never seen a 21SS mod to improve that, other than a wooden stove top cover.

I have the wood stove top cover. I wish I had chose the 21ik instead, but hubby stood firm on this one. I also wanted the forest river lite 25fk which I would still like to get if I can sell this one.

I'm dumping that crap IRV radio. Picked me up a pioneer touch screen this off season and installing xm radio with it. Only thing I see I'm missing is HDMI out.

I know on my radio they wired the internal speakers to the left channel and the external correctly. I figure the idea was to be a poor man's fader between the inside and outside speakers. Here's the mods I made: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ods-69736.html

One added benefit not mentioned is the sub can be used while listening to music outside while not interfering with the kids watching tv inside.

We also have a shamrock 21ss and as you say the counter space is somewhere between zero and none. I got an idea and went to the nearest plastic store and had a piece of plastic cut to fit from from the front of the counter do the back of the counter and then also cover one half of the sink. I made a cut out for where the faucet is which holds it in place I'll include pictures I hope this may help.

Since you have a 21SS then you have quite a bit of floor space. Buy a 4' folding table. Gives you extra table space & you can set that in front of your sofa to give you extra room to sit & eat if you have a larger group or family. We also can set things on that table when doing food prep.

I also have a very large German Shepherd that camps with us. He takes up most floor space. I'll figure something out, or I will end up selling it.

Husband would like to know where you got the plastic and is it food grade, can you use it as a cutting board?
