It sounds like you've got the trailer turned "ON," which is providing 12v power to the entire trailer.
There's no dedicated switch for the fridge (though you may have an automobile fuse that you can pull for it, OR install a switch). If you want to preserve your battery, you want to turn the trailer OFF, and not provide power to any of the 12v system (which does includes the fridge).
BARRING THAT, you can press and hold the power button on your fridge (on the control panel) for either 5 or 10 seconds and that will manually power down the compressor and fan and internal light (though it leaves the circuit board energized, and the power button will flash blue). But I don't know why you would want the 12v energized at all.
Other good storage options include not leaving a vent(s) open (to keep weather and humidity out) to the point of potentially adding Damp Rid inside the trailer (and potentially inside the refridgerator(s) to keep humidity down.
I also like to turn my seat cushions up, such that any moisture that's in there gets a chance to evaporate, but that's old boater behavior.
Just my .02. Hope this helps.
