Tire clearance

I have a 04 shamrock 25ss. The issue that concerns me is tire to fender well clearance on the slide side. Does anyone suppose the weight from the slide is the reason for lack of clearance? I have a little over an inch more clearance on the door side. Or could the rubber inside the axles be braking down to cause the extra sag on the slide side? The tire has rubbed the fender trim slightly as well. Thanks for any info.

It could be the axle has slipped in the slotted mounting also. You can loosen the bolts and pry the axle down in the back to increase the torsion. Don't know if it is recommended, but it is an option.

I would guess the slide side spring is in need of being re-arched or replaced one other thing is check the shackles and hardware.

Thanks for the replies. Tire are same side to side. I'll check to see if axle may have slipped. Thanks again for replies and help.

bbf - Don't delay dealing with this. A tire rubbing anything (uncorrected) is a prescription for a very unpleasant event just ahead.

I've checked the axle position and all seems to be well. So I leaning towards the rubber breaking down inside the axle. With that being stated can the rubber be replaced or does the whole axle have to be replaced. Thanks again for any help.

You can temporarily loosen the rear bolts holding the axles and pry the whole axle down in the rear about a 1/4" or more and raise the frame that way. Once you raise it, tighten the bolts in the slot and drill another along side to lock it in position.

Thanks for reiterating the axle mounting brackets. Upon further inspection the axle brackets have slipped. Now to fix it. Thanks again for all the replies and help.
