TV mount

Just wondering where and how to mount a tv mount on the outside of the trailer, do I use a stud finder? What size screws to use ect. Or should I just pay dealer to do it?

Which rig do you have? My Roo19 has a mount already on the outside.

When we looked at the Shamrocks in 2013 they had a mount outside.

Looks like the black bracket with 2 holes. Meant to accept the mount already attacked to the camper

Yes they were available on later 2013 models, you also have a different type of mount on the back of your tv that came with the Rv to snap on this, the tv in my Rv is non removable unless you literally unscrew it from the back of the tv, I wish I had that style

So on the newer models Roos do people move the TV from the inside to the outdoor mounts when using it outside? I was thinking this would be a pain. Has anyone ever purchased a 2nd TV and ordered the brackets that mount to it. Of course the brackets would be the same that fit in the outside bracket receivers.

If so, are the brackets universal and where did you get them from? Forest River?
thanks

I use ours outside. I added an outlet inside and outside that has hdmi, rca jacks and the cable jack. We enjoy our directv, playstation, Netflix outside when the box and ps3 are inside and through our outside speakers when outside watching tv. I will add a second tv next year hanging from the front bunk end, cause I'm lazy and don't want to turn around when sitting at the dinette. So anyways yes I use it outside, not a huge pain to move, and would like to know where to buy the same mount as well so I don't have to machine one.

How easy was it to add the hdmi? Easy to access?

TV mount

Yes - I never thought of that. I currently run a 25 foot hdmi cable from my directv receiver kept in the Roo to the tv outside. Wiring hdmi from the inside tv/stereo area to the outside tv area would be ideal.

I'd love to see how this is done as well.

I'll get pics the next time I get out to the camper. It was run inside the wall, under the slide, under the floor and through the outlet outside. I have a patch cable that the tv uses to plug in to the directv box or the ps3. Then the same patch cable will connect the tv outside to the panel on the wall outside. Inside another patch cable installs from one of the boxes. Again it looks like it came from the factory. I'll get pics... I promise.

I bought a 3rd TV wall mount bracket from wallmountworld.com. I already had a small 19" TV/DVD unit that I use outside rather than running a the RCA cables outside. And I wanted to add a second mounting station for this TV/DVD inside next to my kid's bunks. It just seems easier than moving the main TV around and running the DVD through the camper's entertainment system.

This place has the exact same "factory" brackets and it works great!.

Our 2015 23IKSS has the outside tv mount but I've been hesitant to move the tv from the inside to the outside. Unhooking the wires and getting them out of the entertainment console won't be too hard but getting them back later is another story. Do any of you have tips on easily getting the power and video wires snaked back in? I'm thinking some sort of pull wire will be required.

I don't bother. I bought a separate tv for the outside. Works out great.

Well that's certainly one way to solve the problem. But we rarely use the inside tv so getting a second for outside wouldn't make sense for us. I'd only use it outside for the occasional outdoor movie night.

I have a 32 in I just put on the out side table that came with the trailer. I bungee the base to the table. the cable runs under the trailer, through the corner of the tent and are attached to a splitter on the back of the satellite receiver. It's easy to hook up in just a few minuets and quick to take down if the weather gets bad.
