Have you tried calling the phone number on the filter housing and asking the question? 574-389-1801. Also, if you Google "FRE-10H water filter cartridge," you'll find several sources.

I Doubt more than a few folks have abandoned these filters, certainly not "most" folks. They're dirt simple to replace and good for the season. Belt and suspenders follks (like me) will use an inline hose filter to get big stuff like sand out before the onboard filter gets disease causing bacteria.

These are standard filters, nothing special. They're available in many different filter "meshes" (microns?) for want of a different word. Some will filter smaller particles than others -- bacteria is small.

If Google can't find the filter just go to Lowes or Home Depot -- not a RV dealer! They're common "under sink" filters.

Thanks! Good to know. I think I'll make a point then, of installing my filter, in addition to the external filter I use.

2022 Dynaquest XL 3400KD water filter

We did not get a water filter wrench with our RV like the information said we should. We were wondering what wrench to purchase and what replacement filter to purchase as well as extra "O" rings to have on hand.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

I buy my filters at Lowes or Home Deport, they're common under sink filters. (Like noted in Post 22.) Take the "jar" to either of them and see if they have a wrench or filter. If you know the model number Google is your friend.

Wrench

So when I bought my camper last spring and added one of those blue filters my coffee tasted like crap.
I ordered a dual filter kit assembly from Beech Lane. Don't think I could have made it cheaper.
Also with hard water in my area I want to keep my shower and plumbing free of hard water deposits so I got a portable water softener. Softener just stays on the back cargo carrier.

My set up goes Blue filter-Softener-Blue filter- Beech Lane Filters. I just happened to have a second blue filter handy and figured it would help with the softener taste or in case the resin beads start to migrate through.

Coffee tastes good now. Still use a Brita though. I believe the blues are 20 micron and the Beech Lane are 5 and .5 which I just pick up at the local hardware store.

All on quick disconnects or I would be taking three hours to set up. Time to fill the fresh water tank, just plug in a flow meter and add what I think I will need.
