Water lines
So in as much as I broke the low point drain fitting on 23ss , I think I'm going to replace the fittings on both lines with valves instead of screw on caps . I know the outer diameter of the lines is 5/8 and suspect the inner diameter is 3/8. Am I correct or completely of base. I figured I would ask you guy's before pulling lines apart to take a measurement. Thanks a bunch.

I considered that but I was a little concerned that given the fact they are under the trailer and the might fall off going down the road. Frankly I don't know that much about the shark bites. Sure would make things easier though.

Perfect solution! If its 5/8" OD and 3/8" ID though, I think you want a 3/8 valve. Better double check.

I'm not sure it's a 3/8 ID. I'm just guessing at that. I'm just trying to avoid taking fittings apart to take the measurement. I'm really good at fixing stuff after I break it and if I start pulling stuff apart, well.... I'll break it.

I was just going by the 5/8 OD. Pick up one fitting(or both a 3/8 and 1/2 and return the extra) and a removal tool - which is a little plastic collar. You can pop the valve onto your line and verify it fits right w/ no leaks. If not it will just pop off with the removal tool. These fittings are kind of pricey for big projects, but I have found them to be unbeatable for a small job or repair, especially in a tight spot or someplace you don't want to glue or solder.
These have "teeth" that will bite into the plactic pipe, and I really don't think you have to worry about it coming loose - even bouncing down the road.

99% of newer TT's 5er's MH use 1/2" PEX for the potable water system. It will fit just fine. You can also look (I found them at Lowes) at the plastic push-on valves. About 1/2 the price of the Brass Shark Bites but I am also a fan of long life replacement parts.

Just a side note to our fellow forumites, Fixing this PEX plumbing is very easy. The hardest part is buying the crimp tool. I carry my crimp tool and spare fittings and pipe with me everywhere.
For those willing to fix it on the run I highly recommend it!!
BTW storm happy fixing!!

If shark bites are installed properly they won't go anywhere. I've used them extensively across many of my TT's etc and never had a single issue. They are a god send when working in tight spaces etc. I carry a variety of fittings with me just in case.
