Were you offered a limited lifetime warranty?

For what they cover, and the cost for their certified annual inspection, I'm wondering how many owners bother with it.
I'm in that camp that never buys extended warranties....ever.
If this covered "bumper to bumper and all in between" it'd be a different story.

yes, we were offered something but got no pressure from the dealer to buy it. Our sales person just said that there was one and was I interested - when I said no, she never mentioned it again. So I really don't know what it even covered.

I did go ahead and get the 2nd year warranty that Forest River offers for $150 (IIRC)....(my dealer did not mention this 2nd year warranty program, but I knew about it from this forum). I mailed it in to Forest River with the check and got a receipt mailed back in short order.

Do you have to purchase the 2nd year warranty from Forest River at the time of purchase?

If a second year from FR was offered, I glazed over it. I believe it was not, and we were offered this super awesome lifetime warranty that is super awesome limited to I think the axle and the frame and "maybe" a doorknob as long as I agree to the 130 dollar annual inspection by a certified FR inspector.

The second year warranty is not usually mentioned by the dealers, they want to sell the warranties like you originally mentioned. I have bought two forest river campers from two different dealers and neither one mentioned the second year offer.
The second year warranty from forest river is for most of their towable campers and information is found on the forest river owners group web site.

I believe that the 2nd year factory warranty is mentioned in the Roo and Shamrock brochures.

It's mentioned daily on the Forum.

But I'm sure that your dealer DIDN'T mention it because they get a commission on the expensive one they tried to sell you.

Nice to live close to the factory (2 hours). If I had any issue, I'd just pay therm a visit. I have in the past btw. Nice folks.

For Prime Time owners, PT does not offer the Forest River 2nd year extension to the warranty.

Our Coachmen came with a "Forever Warranty". I asked my local RV service guy if it was worth the hassle and he chuckled a little. I didnt bother.
Fyi. Not all FR divisions offer the second year warranty. Coachmen does not.

You hear the same complaint about Dometic appliances.

I was offered the extended warranty from my dealership, along with their insurance department services, their financing, a lifetime wax coating, and probably some other offers I don't recall. I turned all down, but quickly sent in the form for the extended year Forest River warranty. When used during the second year, there were no problems at all with FR honoring the warranty and covering all the costs.

That sounds like the rv warranty forever program we were offered. We didn't buy into it, we just took their limited free version that covers some but not all components. We do the annual inspection (can be done by any rv service center willing to sign off on the paper). We put $150 into the forest river 2nd year warranty and are very happy we did that.
