what sewer hose?

i see them from 5 ft to 30ft. i have not yet been to a campground (old pop up) that i needed anything like a 30ft hose.

who makes a hose that won't break and what length is safe to say for your normal campgrounds with hook ups?

I use the Camco 2 lengths of 15 ft when in a Full Hookup site to seal in ours. Otherwise the cheapo dealer supplied blue special to dump with.

Wife got me the Rhino hose a few years ago for Christmas. Love that hose from the strength to being able to stretch it out or push it back to short length. I doesn't fit in my bumper though & we have a sealed tub that we put it in.

Always have more than you need...same for power cords!

My previous TT had front and rear tanks with separate dump valves, so I had 40-feet of pipe and a 'Y' connector.

I kept all of that for my 5'ver, and suddenly last summer I found myself using all 40-feet of my sewer hoses to reach the dump out.

And...thank the stars above I had that 30-foot 30-amp extension cable as I needed it along with the 25-ft power cord for the 5'ver to reach the pedestal.

Oh...and no mention of this by the park or in reviews!

There will come a day, when you need it. I normally use a 15ft Rhino. I've only needed my extension once. That was an important once. We were staying at a campground for a week and would have had to disconnect and drive to dump it, had I not brought the 15ft extension.
That was the same trip, in which I needed the power cord extension and my spare water hose. The boxes and connections were grouped along the backs of the campsites. The were grouped mostly in fours. Weird setup, but made me glad I brought spares.

It only takes once. If you have the room, I'd bring the extensions.

BTW, the cheapo one they give you will last a little while, but after only a few uses, it will quickly spring nasty little geysers!

I have the Titan brand and like it. Comes in 2 10ft sections with a few other pieces along with it. Not a flimsy hose. It is bendable to a point and In my opinion it is well constructed. Very similar construction to the rhino brand. Cost is around $40-50. Mine was included with my purchase so price I’m just going off what I see at stores.

As mentioned... there will be a day you need it.
Seems to becoming more common as R/V's tend to have the ports more towards the front these days and campgrounds are trying to accommodate longer rigs all the while the sewer hook-up remains at the back of the camp site.

I've had good luck with my Rhinos after overcoming the initial obstacle of improperly trimmed hose (that would catch debris) on several on the connections.

Your blue dealer special must be better than our blue dealer special. The one we got was like all of 18”. That one doesn’t even come with us, I just use the Rhino to dump.

I would say the best, while still affordable hose is the Rhino plus an extension, just in case.
The best hose overall is definitely the WasteMaster.

Yup!

I carry a 50ft, 25ft, 10ft and a 25ft heated water hose.

The 50 footer I hardly ever use, but am using it right now at the park I'm in.

Thanks for reminding me. I need to see how far my hose reaches with my new rig.

No hose lasts forever after a few years you will want to replace any brand.

We have used 30 feet of hose a couple of times. A lot will depend on where the campgrounds sewer dump is compared to where the trailers is.

Rhinoflex for sure. It is extremely strong and easy to use, and fits in the 4’’ bumper. I’ve never been able to figure out why so many member build their own storage with pvc and rain gutters instead of just buying the rhino. Highly recommend!

I think the magnetic bumper plugs are pretty handy. You never have to fish for the hose.

Our last trailer, I was able to get 8 years out of the El Cheapo hose from the dealer. I bought the Rhino for our new trailer we got last April. It fits the bumper tube perfectly.

The hose will fit fine but it can be a problem with the elbow connections and the adapter that screws into the dump access. That stuff has to go somewhere so why not keep it all in one place. The gutter holder is easier to clean than the inside of a bumper. Plus, a lot of trailers don’t have a rear bumper.

Had my 183 Shamrock for nearly 4 years now. I have never needed anything longer than the 15 feet this hose gives you. Fits in the bumper, contracts to about 6 feet, expands to 15 ft. Get the flush attachment too.
