Yes you....with a 23WS

Can someone who has easy access to their 23WS please post the measurement from pavement to top of ball with the trailer sitting close to level?

After the last go around I'm superstitious, and do not want to jinx myself.

For now I'll say they built it, it was delivered to the dealer, and I have seen it. I was in it and on it within a few hours of the dealer accepting delivery of it. I will be back there on Friday.

I liked what I have seen so far. Much better in general than the previous one, as in night and day different. More on that later, maybe over the weekend.

It's amazing to me that there could be such a dramatic difference between supposedly identical units. Mass production was designed to eliminate wildly fluctuating quality variations. What has gone wrong?

This and other boards are full of posts of what went wrong.

All you have to do is go to any large dealer who has 3 or 4 of the exact same model unit on the lot, and spend an hour going through those identical units. You'll find the differences.

Best of luck on your coming PDI MrHavercamp.

As far as I know, most campers have things that need to be fixed.
Mine were cosmetic, and easy for me to take care of. I prefer doing the work myself than losing the hybrid for one or two days, maybe a week not knowing if it will come back in worst condition. I don't care if a brad nail is sticking out, or a wall has minor scratches.....I saved enough money when I bought it to justify those repairs.

Everyone wants a prefect hybrid (they don't exist). There will be flaws, and hope you will overlook these, or you won't have a camper this summer.

Good luck today! I picked ours up on Wednesday and didn't have any issues. I hope the same for you.

It was very close. I don't use a WDH with my 2500HD, just a 2-1/2" class 5 draw bar with a 4" rise that ends up at about 24-1/2 to top of ball.

I didn't measure anything but it was fairly level by eye and towed great, I even took it up to 85 once just to get a feel for it. I need to get the water tank supports changed, the second tank added, and then reload all the gear in before I get carried away with the final towing setup. Then I'll see how it go's and determine if I even set up my WDH. I quit using it when I went to the 2500 trucks.

Thanks.

Mr H.... is the suspension setup really that different that you can pull a camper that heavy without a wdh?. I'm a novice with full size trucks. I used to pull our popups with a Dodge Dakota so my Ram 1500 is my first full size. I'm positive I wouldn't want to pull my ikss without a wdh.

I pulled a 23' Keystone Hybrid around for 3 years without using the WDH and never gave it a second thought. Its GVWR was 300 lbs less than this 23WS.

I'm reading all this ....and we're soooooooooo anxious to get that 23WS on the road. We've been looking at that camper on the front yard since then end of October, and finally, the day will come in another two weeks.
I still have to install my Blue Ox WDH......and we're ready to go for a whole full two days of camping to check out everything.... That thing is still winterized !!!!!

Are we anxious ?...............Yesssssssssssssss !!
