5th Wheel - Side Shifter

Side Shifter

OMG!
Is this thing for real?
I may have found something I love more than my wife!

I absolutely can’t live another day without this!

When the side shifter was not being utilized I couldn't tell from the video how close to the ground the unit or tires were. Didn't want another obstruction. Otherwise, that was COOL!

Hmmmm....

I wonder with that side shift, if I'd be able to get through a Horton's drive through...

Well..... necessity IS the mother of invention. Can't say I've ever been in a situation like that and I think it would be a whole lot cheaper to move one of the cars.

It’s like any insurance. Useless until you actually need it.

We were returning from TX a couple years ago & pulled into a gas station/quickie mart in some little no named hick town.
I pulled way off to the side where there were no cars. I was taking up 6 or so parking spots & left just enough room in front & behind to pull out.
While I was inside a couple of local toothless good ole boys decided to park their beater trucks right in front & behind me. (The whole rest of the lot was open)

I went inside & asked them very politely if one of them could move.
They totally ignored me. When they came out they proceeded to site on the hood of one of the P/Us & take their time drinking their Coors. After 30-40 minutes they got bored & left.

If I had one of these things I would have been to one laughing!

My apologies if I offended any demographics out there with my “toothless good ole boys” comment!

I've had enough time to think about it. Waste of money.

Now, now, don't be in such a haste to make such a rash decision.

I did think about it for almost 24 hours.

Anyone see a price on this thing? Probably stupidly expensive.
I think I have to agree with Rugged Brown.

An article on one of the sites that I found to read about this, it said that it was an $8,000.00 option. Wow. At that price, I'll just watch where I park.
