Adding an additional vent

Has anyone ever done this? I would like to add an extra one to the rear storage area of my TT. Is this better left to the "pros"?

Winsurfer76,
I have not done it but wouldn't hesitate doing the job if need be. Only thing I would be concerned about is the correct placement of the vent. According to the FR brochure, your TT has a 5" Bowed Truss Roof Rafters System. Installation of the vent would have to be somewhere in between two truss. I'm thinking the truss are 16" on center. A call to FR would confirm the truss spacing.
The Elixir EZ-MOUNT 14X14 Vent should be an easy install.
Also see RV Parts Center for Elixer Roof Vents and installation kit.

I added a few things like this to my 94 playmor I had. Stay between the beams, add support where needed, use plenty of top quality sealer and WATCH FOR WIRING.

Thanks for the info. I've been wanting to put one in since last year. The small refrigerator in the back puts out some heat and it has nowhere to go. I need that baby to keep my beverages cool when I'm camping!!

To be honest Bear, the outside refrigerator is what really got my eye! It really keeps "beverages" cold (right at the formation of ice in your beer cold) . I use it as a staging area for food I plan on cooking outside. Also helps keep stuff cool while the inside refrigerator is cooling off. It also helps cut down on the "in and out", which helps keep it clean and cool inside.
