Aluminum siding damaged

I was towing my 2006 Salem 26bh through Montana last week in the way to Yellowstone. Got sideswiped by an oncoming class C that crossed the centerline. We were both doing 65mph so the impact was significant. He has insurance. Have damage on both my f350 crew cab doors. The trailer has 2 broken windows and damage on every single aluminum panel on the front and left side. Damage consists of small holes, large dents, small dents and gouges the entire length. Slide out is ok although the seal around it is slightly damaged.

Anyone know if insurance will repair or total? It's my understanding aluminum siding panels are replaced and not repaired? If so, it will need all new skin in the front an left side. I'm still on the road and curious if I should start considering a replacement trailer. Anxious to get it to an RV body shop next week for an estimate.

I figure book value is around 11k? I suspect repair costs will be significant and it may not be worth it to the insurance company.

Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would get it to the BEST collision shop I could find for the estimate. They are are able to assess ALL damage, including what you cannot see. I had a tire blow and it was $3300 plus tire : $3500. When you start talking panels, seals, windows, paint and more, you may even have a bent frame. Get EXPERT APPRAISAL. This is YOUR investment and your future safety and towing responsibility. Mine was on my insurance and they stepped up. Make damned sure his does.
Your only leverage with his insurance company should they not meet your expectation is a comparative damage appraisal.
