Everyone should do what they want. This day, of all days, emphasizes Freedom. Freedom was/is worth dying for. And it means you get to do whatever you want to do, whether I like it or not!

I already own a house in one town, a farm with house 2 hours away (I'm there now), and 1/10 of a deer camp with a house, and this rolling house. IF I could get rid of all but one of those, it'd be the travel trailer I kept.

Interesting.........the names given above for these units are both "Travel Trailer" and "Camper". Even the choice of descriptive name gives some info as to intended use.

We just pulled the TT 5,000 miles, saw Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Senora AZ, Las Vegas, Colorado, etc etc etc.........and it was nice to sleep in my own bed instead of a bug infested $200 a night hotel room.

Seems to me this question boils down NOT to how to use the travel trailer, BUT is a question of "Are you going to travel America or stay close to home, no matter where you sleep?" If you are going to stay home, then buying land makes sense. If your bucket list is like ours, and you want to roam, then don't. And if you can afford it and want to, do both!

We bought a creek front lot in the mountains in 1998 with thoughts of eventually building a cabin. We had a septic installed, RV pedestal and pumped water from the creek for bathing. Used it occasionally for 3 years with our TT as well as visiting other locations. Property has X3 in value since purchase and we have a lot of great memories.
