Coleman vs dometic ac in 38FKOK

I just looked at 2 Sierra 2019 38FKOK campers. One had a Coleman while the other had dometic AC. Any opinions on which is better? I have a 2017 RBOK currently and had to put a third ac in to get it cool. That will be much harder in the FKOK so I’m hoping the ac has been redesigned to work.
On the Coleman, I liked that the thermostat had separate controls in the bedroom. However, I like the programmable, multi-zone thermostat on the dometic.

Interested in feedback before ordering my new unit.

Thanks

The Coleman 15K has more output than the Dometic. Not a true sceintific test but my Dometic 13,500 is in the front of my camper and the Coleman 15K in the rear, both are on the same ducts. I can feel the Coleman really pushing the air, the Dometic does not have as much power.

What I found interesting is that that they are both new units. The build sheets show both the living room and bedroom acs are 15k. Seems suspect to me that FR would have switched ac brands mid-year unless they are having supply or performance issues.

I’m debating on buying one of these on the lot vs. ordering a new 2020 build but wonder what they are putting on the 2020s now.

Angry Stay away from Dometic

Stay away from Dometic I have been having an ongoing battle with them to honor their warranty since the first day I bought one of their Atwood heat pumps.

Good to know. I pulled the trigger on the unit with the Coleman. Fingers crossed the unit will stay cool in the summer!

Am I remembering correctly regarding the Coleman units the the fan runs all the time the unit is in cooling mode and only the compressor cycles? The Dometic I know cycles the fan and compressor in auto mode.

Fan does not run all the time on Colman units. I have two Colman AC on my V-lite and they do very well cooling my unit. Would not have a Dometic heard to many horror stories on them. Later RJD

x? Our 2017 came with Coleman units... I couldn't have been happier. They "seem" louder than the Dometic unit on the last one, but I will live with noise to be cool. TV has a volume control and I might miss some "other noise" while sleeping. I think my unducted front unit has a P&W JT3D, RR Trent 800 or a GE9X engine.
