Gel gloss liquid polish

Just tried this on nose and back of 5th wheel. It was faded pretty bad. Polished up nice. Used orbital buffer. Will see how long it lasts. Click image for larger version

Looks like it shined up real nice. What was the cost and where did you buy? Later RJD

Good old amazon. It was around $12. I also use the gel gloss wash and wax. It really cleans and protects good

Here in the Mid West ACE Hardware, Sutherlands, some Lowes, Home Depots, and some Wally Worlds carry it as well. I used it a few years back ... I remember the shine, but not how long it lasted.

I began using that stuff around twenty years ago on faded fiberglass. Was probably one of the better products I'd used until I discovered Buff Magic by Shurhold (it's on Amazon as well). Now THAT stuff is the best ever and the results last much longer than anything else I've ever tried.

Thanks for the info! Currently we are using Maguiars gelcoat products. The result is gorgeous but only lasts about 2 months before oxidizing again here in the southwest. How long does Buff Magic last in the sun?

Have used Gel Gloss for many years. It works great to remove black streak also.
As far as how long it last, does it matter. Once retired is there anything else to do but shine the RV.

I can't say how long it will last for full on sun exposure, I've always used it on cruisers that stayed in covered docks. But I can say that I only needed to use it once followed by a semi-annual waxing when other products needed to be applied at least quarterly.

I've now got a 35' sedan flybridge that is too tall to fit under any covered dock and I'll be restoring the gel coat next month, first with a 3M product followed by the Buff Magic followed by a premium polish/wax with UV protectant. I'll certainly be able to see how long this lasts after that.

I can think of about a million things I would rather do than wax an RV....

I have used it on my home kitchen sink, bathroom sink and faucets as well as a fiberglass shower enclosure. I would not use it on the shower enclosure inside my travel trailer... it would be way too harsh.

Have been using Gel-Gloss products for more than 30 years. Always happy with the results. Just make sure you do not wax/polish in direct sunlight. It sometimes hardens too fast and may leave unwanted streaks in the gel-coat. Camping World sells all of the Gel-Gloss product line. Watch for sale prices.

I just started a thread in the Wildcat section asking what people use on their front caps, then found this thread. I was thinking of plopping down $75 for Poly Glow, but now I may have to re-think that!
