I REALLY need advice ROOKIE BUYER

Hi folks,

I'm new to the site and also purchasing my first TT. I have a half tone 5.3 crew cab with tow package.

I'm getting more confused and too much information. But I think I was able to nail it down to 3 TT.

I'm looking at Kodiak Express, White Hawk (Jayco) and the Solair Palomino.

Length wise 27-30 feet. Most of them are a total travel length of 32-34 feet anyhow. Floor plans are also similar. Price wise also similar.
I have compared apples with apples.

I'm not sure which one I'm getting a better quality. Does anybody have any concrete advice on this?. Experiences? Also is it easy to travel with that length around campsites and roads?

Thanks a bunch

Can only compare a Kodiak to the Flagstaff as we have owned both. We much prefer the 2 Flagstaff trailers for workmanship and fewer problems vs the Kodiak. Had more problems with the 1 Kodiak in 1 yr than we've had with 2 Flagstaffs in 5 yrs.

We look at the White Hawk , like it , but wanted a full outside kitchen
We went with a 2012 flagstaff FR 831 RKSS
Has bunks in back and super slide
31 feet 6400 dry weight
Really like it , camping in it right now at cedar hill state park near Dallas Texas , A/C works really good tonite

Have had Gulfstream (won't do that again) Jayco (excellent well made class C) Thor (fine, mid grade construction) and now FR (Roo!) I am very pleased with our Roo, I would consider the construction on par with the Jayco; although, it far surpassed the Jayco Hybrids we saw when shopping for a hybrid.

Proly doesn't help much. Look at the finishes. If you really look them over, you may see shortcuts and that may give you a window into the quality and workmanship. I always feel sorry for the GS reps at RV shows coz I can pretty much shred 'em. DH loves to watch this coz they expect women to oooo and aaahhh over pretty wallpaper.....

Anyway, happy hunting

You don't say what your tow vehicle is. I would recommend you double-check the vehicle's towing capacity and payload capacity. You do want to make sure you don't purchase something that won't exceed what your truck should be pulling.
