It could be a few things. You could have a blown fuse in the distribution panel of you could have a broken wire under the slide. To check for the broken wire look under the slide and try to follow the wire. It is usually in a wire loom to keep it from binding and being cut.

Thanks very much for writing. How can I tell if a fuse is blown? Is it visually obvious if I pull it out?

If you have a newer distribution panel there may be a red led that will light if the fuse is blown otherwise you will have to pull the fuse and test it.

This happened to me this year. The black plastic wire cover containing the wires under the slide got pinched some how and caused a fuse to blow in the electrical panel. I cut the pinched part out of the wire and used a "butt connector" to splice it back. I then replaced the 15 amp fuse in the panel. Slide lights have been working great since. Problem was caused by the plastic wire support strap breaking. This is my third strap. I fixed the problem by installing a 2 or 3 inch hinge where the strap had broke. Now it bends properly when the slide goes in and out.

Are the lights operated by a switch? Good place to start....

This would be my suggestion too. I had a light go out in our camper last year. I ordered a new light online, received it, installed it, flipped the switch and....... Nothing! So I pulled the switch out of the wall only to find that one of the wires fell out of the switch. Lesson learned, check everything before ordering. Does anybody need a light?

Just found the same issue with my bedroom slide. The lights were out, investigation found a mouse got to the wiring. The mouse got to the wire behind a wall, it's going to be a PIA to repair. I now have mouse traps throughout the trailer.
