Recliners

How do y’all keep the chairs from rubbing the window?!
I started putting pillows and blankets against the wall. Maybe I’m doing something wrong with the tie strap.

Thanks 😷😷😻

You will probably get a host of ideas to solve your problem. Our recliners are LazyBoy rocker recliner so that may present additional problems. I moved ours away from the windows to the point they would not touch when gently rocking. I then cut a piece of 1/2 inch plywood a few inches longer than the rockers are wide and the width from the wall to the chair platform. That keeps it from moving too close to the window. Then cut short 4×4 blocks to place under the chair to prevent rocking and finally we have straps to wall to keep them from moving forward. Sounds like a lot but really is not. When we get ready to move, slide chairs against plywood, put blocks under chairs and strap down. Done.

We also have rocker recliners and put them back to back as you have in your picture. But we have never used any straps or other tie down methods. I do put a blanket between the backs to keep the top edges from rubbing each other. I have never seen them move from where we placed them, so no rubbing the wall or window.
I usually put the satellite receiver and computer bag in the recliner seats, and also have never seen any movement from where they were originally.
Been doing this for 8 years with no problems.
