Rubber roof question

So, we have our first campout of the year planned in 2 weeks. We have about 2" of ice under roughly 6-8" of snow on our 31' trailer and it doesn't look like it's going to be warming up anytime soon. Where we are going is 3 hrs away and weather will be close to 50° all weekend. I'm afraid if i pull it down the freeway like this, ice chunks will blow off and possibly damage the roof/vents/seals. Should I just crank up the heat a couple days before we leave to melt most of it off or is it insulated well enough that it won't really help? (Grey wolf Cherokee 26dbh)

I suppose I could always drive through a local rv park and see what other people's roofs look like that are full timers, I'm just afraid of doing damage jumping on the freeway with that much on the roof

Could you melt it off with a water hose?

No, it's 15° at my house as we speak and only warms up to about 30 during the day. I haven't touched the trailer since Oct when we winterized it.

For sure don't hit the roads like that... beyond the damage it could do to your rig, imagine those ice chunks falling on other cars!

If it were me, I would run the heat a few days and then stand on a ladder and try to push / pull the snow off either side

If you have ever been passed by a Semi that had "ICE and Snow" on top that "Let Loose" you would Really think about "OTHERS" in regards to "Sheets of 2" of Ice" flying and Hitting Other People! Youroo!!

It is dangerous to drive in that condition and illegal in several states.
