Skid Marks

This is kind of embarrassing and not sure how to phrase it. I have a problem with "trails" in the toilet after its flushed. [emoji372]
It takes several flushes to get it clean or I have to get the bowl brush and toilet cleaner out after every time I take care of business. I realize this wouldn't be a problem if the toilet was porcelain. I even tried waxing the bowl but that only last a couple of days. Any suggestion relevant to the described problem, PLEASE! Sorry no pictures. [emoji43]

As a man, I will tell you that it happens to ALL toilets, from time to time. you can try paper down first, then do your business, fill the bowl up with water, flush and it should be clean. if not, just use the brush and move on with your day. no harm, no fowl.

Paper down first seems to be the general recommendation.

Like I did with the house when we had it, I used to leave it and try to pee it off later. But that didn't always work (either place).

So now honestly, I just wipe the toilet with toilet paper after I flush and flush again.

Wash my hands well when I'm done.

Other than replacing with porcelain, I'm not sure there is a solution.

You could try putting Calgon Liquid Watersoftener around the rim of the bowl before you do your business. That tends to coat plastic and keep stuff from sticking, but whether it would work or not is questionable.

You are not putting enough water in the bowl. Fill it up. Most turds flot. Ever see how much water in in the bowl at home? There is a reason for that. You need at least 1.5 gal of water.

Put water in the bowl prior to taking care of bidness.

More water and more bran. If that doesn’t work, you could install a sprayer on the water line and use that and a toilet brush.

EDIT: If you want to go ECO, install a composting toilet.

Hydrophobic Coating

You can try applying a hydrophobic coating to the bowl. It will most likely work very well.

Look at the Rustoleum NeverWet kit.

Like everyone said"s... happens". Use enough water to begin with. Don't sweat the small stuff. When you finish, put just enough water in the bowl to cover the skid marks. It will keep it from stinking and the water will dissolve it by the next time someone uses it. Close the lid. outta sight outta mind!

Add about 4 to 5 inches of water to the bowl first,, not so much that you are dangling in it! Works most of the time. You will learn what level works best for you. "DO NOT" fill the bowl,,,,, unless you are a woman!!

Household spray cleaner of any kind. If you use the stream setting, it’ll take care of things.

I use a big plastic glass and fill it with hot water and pore over the spot. Gone after 1 or 2 times. Don't sweat it!

Oh Dear Lord.

I clicked this out of morbid curiosity. Somehow I expected a thread about tires. My husband and I are shopping for our first RV. THIS is an issue that never crossed my mind!

Hubby and I are going to have to talk.
