Slide Outs?

On the XLR Toy Haulers with three slides, can you control them one at a time, or do they all come out at the same time?

On all RVs they are operated one at a time. If each is an electric motor then all running at once would be a huge amperage draw on the system and would blow a fuse. If hydraulic then they all run off the same pump and motor so only one can be run at a time.

If you have hydralic operated slides. Forest River uses a lot of Lippert products on their Hydralic products. Some Forest River units combine their slide operations into one switch to save costs. You can tell by looking at the pump and see if there are three brass valves. You can control each slide be closing the other two valves. If no valves are visabe, then they cannot operate seperately. When the pump is on, the slides come out seperately with the smaller one first. On some units, each slide has its own switch inside the coach, then you can control each slides operation.

On the XLR all slideouts are controlled by one switch.
Forest River's higher line stuff have independent hydraulic slideout controls, Lippert branded, with individual solenoids for each slide.

you might call Hunter at allseasonsrv.com, 231 739 5269, he handles the XLR and may be able to clarify your question. I believe they have needle control valves on or near the pump that allow you to select on slide at a time.
