Super springs or air bags for a f250 with a bit if squat pulling 5 Er

Both options cost about the same. I'm told the airbag route improves non towing ride quality. Super springs make non towing ride poorer apparently.
Air bags can leak super springs is more set and forget
What are others comments?

I have bags on the pickup and the MH. No leaks in either so far.

Does your F250 have the camper package? The camper package gives you the overload spring found on the F350. It is a spring separate and above the normal spring pack.

The reason I ask is, Torklift makes a nice bolt-on pad that engages the overload all of the time. It makes a big difference.

I have had two Rams that I had spring company add one full length leaf. Any thing shorter does add lots of stiffness. Look at my website for installation photos. Www.cumminz.com.

I had air bags in previous tow vehicle... had it for 4 years without a problem with air bags... could air them up for towing and let them out for driving comfort.

Although I only have a half ton, I went with sumo spring for the set and forget reason. It is a little more springy unloaded but a very nice difference in ride quality on rough highways while towing. All of the road shocks go thru the "bump stop" now vs coming right up the leaf springs to the frame.

I have never had airbags to compare though.

I put bags on my pickup, F150. My class C has the bags. Since I tow a car trailer, I pump the bags in the pickup to match the how high the hitch in the class c. Don't keep both at the same place. Pickup rides fine with or with out the trailer.

I also only have a half ton. It's a Silverado 2wd. I went with tembrins. The first ones I had were 8600 pound rated. Way too harsh! I called the company and they sent me a 5400 pound pair. Now just perfect. Truck rides the same with or without the camper attached. I do not use a web. Jay

I only have a 1500 and went with sumo springs. They sit about 1 1/2 " off the axle and dont engage until about 200 lbs put on the rear. Stock ride is unchanged.

Timberlins I heard too many complaints about hard ride. These are better material thats softer and progressiveness is better from my readings.

But I noticed great handling and can take hard turns with no roll. Its amazing really.

Hooked the RV up to test WD with sumos and now I get very reduced sag.

These are the 1000 lbs units @ 50% compression.

I thought about the supersprings, thats like an add a leaf, but that would affect unloaded ride too much for my liking.

This is one of the best investments I have made for my truck.

Got them at sd springs and found a coupon code online for 15$ off. Total was $153 bucks.

3 year warranty.

About 700lb TW.

Edit.

Oh here is the before sag.

I have the Firestone Ride Right bags on my F250 and they work really well. I've had them on several 150/1500 trucks as well. Once the lines are installed correctly, I've never had a leak. I run 20-25 psi to even out my truck with a Reese dual cam WDH. It takes a little playing around to get the front and rear ride heights and air bag psi matched up.

Same here - I've had air bags on my 2010 F250 for 5 years and no problem at all.
